Course Overview

One of Pearl Academy's most popular programs is the Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) in Communication Design. This program offers four specialisations: Graphic Design, Animation & VFX, UI/UX Design, and Game Design.

As part of the Design Faculty, this program aims to provide students with a strong foundation in design basics as well as practical skills specific to each specialisation.

In addition to covering design fundamentals, the program also teaches skills and principles that are highly valued in today's digital workforce.

International Bachelor's Degree In the UK & Australia

Pearl Academy extends the Bachelor's Progression option to all the undergraduate students, providing them with a chance to pursue an international degree through our select partner academic universities. This opportunity is available to UG students after completing the Advanced Diploma level with Pearl Academy.

Upon successful completion of the program at the partner university, students will be awarded a bachelor's degree from the respective partner university. Pearl Academy facilitates students in the application process, subject to students meeting the entry & eligibility conditions of the partner universities.

The B. Des in Communication Design program with specialisation in Graphics and UI/UX Design offers an exciting and comprehensive education for aspiring designers eager to make a mark in the fast-evolving fields of digital and visual design. This interdisciplinary program blends the principles of User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design with the creative fundamentals of graphic design, providing students with the skills and knowledge required to design intuitive, functional, and visually compelling digital experiences.

As the demand for well-designed digital products and interfaces grows, companies are increasingly relying on skilled designers who can create user-friendly websites, apps, and digital experiences that engage and retain users.

This program is specifically tailored to equip students with a deep understanding of how to blend aesthetic design with functionality, ensuring that every design decision enhances the user experience. Niketa Chakrabarti

Associate Professor

Niketa Chakrabarti, an associate professor at Pearl Academy, boasts 22 years of invaluable experience in communication management. Armed with a Professional Diploma in Advertising & Communications Management from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune, Niketa's career flourished through renowned media brands such as MTV, Viacom 18, The Telegraph, NDTV Imagine & FTV. An avid researcher, she has contributed to both national and international domains with her published research papers. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the realm of marketing & branding, Niketa recently achieved a significant milestone by having her research paper published in a Scopus-indexed international journal - Fashion Style & Popular Culture. Her tenacity and self-reliance align seamlessly with her unwavering belief that no mountain is unconquerable.

Clifford Jeffrey

Associate Professor

Clifford Jeffrey is an Associate Professor at Pearl Academy, bringing over ten years of expertise in visual communication, design, and creative leadership. He holds a Master of Design degree in Communication Design with a specialisation in Photography Design from the prestigious National Institute of Design. Alongside his bachelor's degree in visual communication from Madras Christian College, Clifford's academic foundation is strong.

His career highlights include a successful tenure as a creative lead at a private museum, where he established a department and led teams of designers, photographers, and external collaborators. Tajinder J. Singh

Adept Associate Professor

Tajinder's remarkable dedication is reflected in numerous accolades, notably over six national awards and the prestigious Singapore Image Asia Apollo Award for 3D Animated Short Films. His work's prominence in Autodesk Siggraph'08 Showreel solidifies his visionary status.

At Pearl Academy, he delves into cutting-edge Immersive Media and Digital Design Technologies, including AR, VR, Holography, Projection Mapping, and Experiential Designs.
