Associate Professor
Madhumita Ghosh, a distinguished faculty at Pearl Academy, boasts a prolific career as a Broadcast Producer/Director. Her impressive portfolio includes producing flagship shows for renowned networks such as BBC-India, Star, ESPN, Sony Television, and CNBC. With a versatile background spanning Business News, Entertainment, and Prime Time Television, she carries over 25 years of rich experience in the International Media Industry.
Madhumita holds a Master's in Political Science from Delhi University, complemented by a post-graduate diploma in Mass Communication. Beyond her production prowess, she excels as an adept media mentor and trainer, contributing to the growth and development of emerging talents in the field. Her multifaceted expertise and extensive experience have firmly established her as a prominent figure in media and broadcasting.

Dr. Aneesha Henry
Associate Professor
Dr. Aneesha Henry is an Associate Professor of Fashion Communication at Pearl Academy. She holds a degree from Sophia Social Communication Media, Mumbai. With over 12 years of experience in academia, Aneesha has taught various subjects such as journalism, films, and mass communication.
Driven by her deep love for cinema, Aneesha embarked on a journey to pursue a PhD in the field. Alongside her academic pursuits, she also dedicated her time to working with the Last Wilderness Foundation, an NGO focused on wildlife conservation, before completely transitioning into the world of academia.
Actively contributing her writing skills to research papers in films and events, she currently serves as an editor for an upcoming book series.
Aneesha ventured into the realm of fashion communication propelled by her inner cinephile, recognizing the medium's potential to intertwine with films. Her diverse background and extensive expertise render her an invaluable asset in bridging the gap between the realms of fashion and cinema, propelling these two distinct yet interconnected industries towards a harmonious convergence.
Throughout her career, she has been committed to bringing positive changes to the teaching and learning process, constantly striving to make it engaging and dynamic.

Meha Jayaswal
Associate Dean
Meha Jayaswal, Professor and Associate Dean of Fashion Communications at Pearl Academy, has a distinguished career spanning over 24 years in the fashion and media industry. A NET-qualified mass communication graduate with advanced training in Fashion Journalism from the London College of Fashion, UK, she holds a Post-Graduate Certification in Higher Education from Nottingham Trent University, UK. Her extensive expertise encompasses curriculum research, planning, and pedagogy.
Meha's journey began with prominent roles, including contributing to India's leading stock market magazine, Dalal Street Investment Journal, during the 90s. Her career further blossomed as she became a Trade Communications Executive for the International Wool Secretariat, focusing on India and Southeast Asia. Her expertise expanded to the Confederation of Indian Industry at HQ New Delhi before she joined Pearl Academy in 2001.
Meha imparts her wisdom across fashion critique, media management, advertising and promotions, and fashion PR modules. Her mentorship extends to final-year undergraduate and postgraduate research projects across Delhi, Bangalore, and Mumbai.
As a mentor, Meha generously shares her knowledge with students and faculty members in fashion communication, journalism and entertainment, and photography courses. Her extensive experience and dedication to mentorship contribute significantly to the growth and development of aspiring professionals in the field.

Sruti Kulothungan
Department Lead
Sruti Kulothungan, a Department Leader of Fashion Communication at Pearl Academy Bangalore, boasts a commendable 17-year industry experience. After graduating with a specialisation in Home Science and a subsequent post-graduation, she delved into the design world, adding a diploma in Space Design to her repertoire.
Sruti commenced her journey in the design industry at FOLEY DESIGNS, where she honed her skills under the guidance of designer Michael Foley. This experience laid a robust foundation for comprehending the entire design process, enabling her to work with diverse designers and premium brands like United Spirits, Gokuldas, Himalaya, and Bulchee.
Transitioning to visual merchandising, Sruti's passion found expression at Indus League (Future Group), where she designed for nine distinct brands, crafting displays, seasonal collections, and ambience appeals across the country. Her team's work at the Manchester United store earned an award. Her journey continued through Madura Fashion and Lifestyle, Van Heusen, and Max Fashion, gaining expertise in fast fashion and nationwide visual merchandising.
With an unyielding belief in the evolution of the fashion world, Sruti remains active in the industry, undertaking projects for brands like Arvind Stores, Peter England, and Mensa. Her professional journey underscores her commitment to continual learning and adaptation within the dynamic fashion and design landscape.

Aparna Mudi
Department Lead
With nearly 15 years of experience within the fashion and media industry, Aparna Mudi holds the roles of Assistant Professor and Department Leader of Fashion Communications at Pearl Academy.
A graduate of NIFT, New Delhi, Aparna’s professional journey encompasses roles with esteemed organisations like Hope Kolkata Foundation and Etasha Society. These experiences allowed her to flourish in skill development, curriculum construction, and immersive teaching.
Aparna's vibrant career trajectory also includes stints as a journalist for distinguished media houses, including Zee Media Limited, India Today, and Indian Express, with a focus on the realms of entertainment and lifestyle. Beyond journalistic pursuits, she also runs her personal website, embracing an eclectic array of subjects like art, poetry, travelogues, and in-depth research pieces.
Thus, Aparna has firmly established herself as an authority in contemporary media education, especially in the arena of fashion media. As a faculty member at Pearl Academy, she has honed her expertise in digital journalism, social media tactics, content creation, cultural exploration, new media studies, and emerging media trends.
A fervent advocate for guiding and nurturing students' life skills through hands-on projects and career mentorship, Aparna also extends her support to faculty peers pursuing postgraduate certification. Her belief in education as the bedrock of the future fuels her commitment to viewing learning as an unceasing voyage, both for her pupils and herself.

Pritesh Rao
Associate Professor
Pritesh Rao brings 33 years of experience to his role as a consulting course leader for the Photography Department at Pearl Academy.
Being an award-winning graduate from JJ School of Art, Mumbai, Pritesh has had an illustrious career over the past three decades. To begin, he was the youngest ‘Photo Mentor’ for KODAK INDIA for seven years in conventional film-based Photography graduating to be one of the Senior most ‘Canon Photo Maestro’ at Canon India, assisting amateur and professional photographers for the last 25 years in the Art of Photography.
Pritesh has also assisted commercial photographers like Girish Mistry, Rajeev Joshi, Viren Desai, and Donald Woodrow and boasts 29 years of experience in the field.
He has further contributed to prestigious assignments from the Archeological Survey of India [ASI] and conducted over 200 workshops within the country as well as internationally.
Thus keeping Pritesh’s love for teaching alive through the years. He believes that globalisation and the opening of Indian markets, new technologies, new products, and new systems are coming into the Indian market at a fast pace, making it essential for tomorrow’s graduates to gain knowledge of emerging technologies and opportunities.

Paricher Tavaria
Associate Professor
Paricher Tavaria, a seasoned Faculty in Fashion Communication at Pearl Academy, is known for her positive realism and diverse talents. With a remarkable career spanning over 23 years, Paricher has seamlessly navigated various media landscapes across the Middle East, India, and the UK. She embarked on her journey at just 18, honing her skills and earning certification from the BBC in TV Journalism.
Throughout her noteworthy career, Paricher has collaborated with distinguished media figures and renowned brands, including photojournalist Pablo Bartholomew, Wilderness Films, Radio Mirchi, and Salt Brand Solutions. In her role as a creative director, she has spearheaded projects for tech, luxury, and fashion for brands like Microsoft and Calvin Klein.
Her dedication and exceptional flair have garnered her numerous scholarships and awards, including recognition for her contributions to British Asian music and culture by DM Digital Global TV. She's also been lauded with the Gujarat Women Empowerment Award and secured a spot in the Indian Achievers Club's 40 under 40 list.
Paricher's commitment to education is fueled by her passion for giving back to society. Over the past 15 years, she has taught at diverse media colleges and mentored children through UNICEF workshops before joining Pearl Academy.

Anthony Roche
Associate Professor
Anthony Roche is a faculty at Pearl Academy with a remarkable 20 years of experience spanning publishing, graphics, and UI/UX design. He has honed his expertise in diverse creative domains.
He is a distinguished Design and Advertising professional hailing from Bangalore. He earned his BFA (Bachelor of Visual Arts) from the esteemed College of Art Bangalore and pursued an MVA (Master of Visual Arts) from the University of Bangalore.
Anthony also holds the esteemed position of Chairperson Board of Examination at the University of Bangalore, specialising in Visual Arts. Notably, he previously had the role of Award Head at Icat Design and Media College, showcasing his commitment to nurturing emerging talents.
His journey has encompassed collaborations with notable entities like the Times of India and Caribbean Education Publishers. Passionate about education, Anthony employs innovative teaching methods to engage students in Graphics, Advertising, Motion, and UI/UX design, fostering a dynamic and enriching learning atmosphere.

Sneha Gajendra
Associate Professor
Sneha Gajendra, faculty of fashion communications at Pearl Academy, is a charismatic fashion guru and a master wordsmith. With a decade-long experience in freelance fashion writing under her chic belt, Sneha has established herself as a prominent voice in the glamorous world of fashion.
Having donned the prestigious title of Editor-in-Chief at Vanity Wink magazine, Sneha is well-versed in the fashion industry. Sneha has also been a prominent fashion blogger for over a decade, delighting her devoted followers with her unique blend of charm and invaluable style advice.
Her Master's in Fashion and Apparel Designing has allowed her to breathe life into fashion campaigns for brands from the UAE market, helping them make waves in the ever-evolving fashion landscape. She has also worked closely with the Aditya Birla Group's Liva Fluid Fashion line.
In addition to this, Sneha possesses a warm and approachable demeanour that instantly puts her students at ease. She fosters a safe and inclusive learning environment where students feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and ideas. Her infectious enthusiasm and genuine care for her students' well-being create a supportive atmosphere that promotes growth and fosters a love for learning, making her an instant favourite among the kids.

Anita Bora
Associate Professor
With over 21 years of experience, Anita Bora holds the position of Associate Professor of Fashion Communication at Pearl Academy. Throughout the course of her career, she has lent her talents to both the industrial as well as the academic side of fashion communication.
She specialises in marketing and holds an MBA from the renowned Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University. Additionally, she’s also earned her post-graduation diploma in Computer Applications from Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi.
But the learning didn’t stop there for Anita. She also holds an advanced certification in Business English Communication from the University of Cambridge. Anita believes in holistic growth that balances theory and practical application. And so she went on to work with organisations like Momentum India, Godrej Pacific and Tech Pacific to gain an 11-year of work experience in the industry.
Before joining as faculty at Pearl Academy, she taught at Jamia Millia Islamia in Delhi. Her expertise lies in the fields of research, marketing, branding and entrepreneurship development.

Asheesh Saini
Associate Professor
Asheesh Saini, an alumnus of the National Institute of Fashion Technology, has over 20 years of experience in the design industry. He started his career as a designer at KG Denim and has worked on projects in varied fields of design, including Films, Graphic Design, Copywriting, Visual Merchandising, Photography, and Fashion & Clothing Design. An avid traveller, he brings his outdoor experiences into the classroom, where he teaches Films, Cultural Studies, Fashion History, and Image Design. He provides mentorship to students in their final year who are undertaking research and graduation projects. Asheesh has a keen interest in the development of curriculum and pedagogical practices and has created syllabi for traditional, online, hybrid, and blended learning formats for Fashion Communication Programs at the Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels.

Asmita Aggarwal
Associate Professor
With an illustrious career spanning over three decades, Asmita Aggarwal is a fashion communication faculty at Pearl Academy.
As her journey commenced in 1992, she embarked on her journalistic path as a trainee with the Times of India. Later, she took on pivotal roles, including a 13-year tenure as managing editor of HT City at Hindustan Times and an eight-year stint as features editor at The Asian Age/Deccan Chronicle.
In 2013, Asmita ventured into the digital realm by launching Koovs and introducing Bridal Asia Magazine in 2018. A foray into the magazine sector came in 2011 when she led Cosmopolitan at the India Today Group. By 2015, she had elevated her role to editor-in-chief of the esteemed L'Officiel, heralding its presence in India.
She also orchestrated the successful relaunch of Patriot in 2017, after which her exceptional prowess in fashion writing earned her the accolade of India's best style writer in 2021. Integral to the Fashion Design Council of India for 15 years, Asmita managed their digital platforms and penned the book "Chrysalis," unveiled at the JLF 2021.
With 14 years of teaching under her belt, her invaluable experience nurtures aspiring fashion communicators, making Asmita a guiding light in the industry.

Rohit Dhingra
Associate Professor
Rohit Dhingra, a consultant of fashion communication at Pearl Academy, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the realm of Fashion Communication. Educated at the prestigious University of Arts, London, Rohit boats a solid foundation for his illustrious career.
Rohit has over 20 years of experience as a professional photographer, supplemented by a decade of teaching Photography at Pearl Academy. His remarkable journey also encompasses eight impactful years at Canon India and the Frankfinn Institute of Acting and Modelling.
An undeniable highlight of his career, Rohit's work with top UK modelling agencies such as FM, PROFILE, and STORM stands as a testament to his expertise. Collaborating with these agencies, he captured the charisma of top UK models associated with global powerhouses like ARMANI, and HUGO BOSS. Hi work has also made it to the vibrant pages of magazines such as Vogue and i-D.
Notably, Rohit Dhingra's association with Canon as a Brand Photo Mentor underscores his influence in the industry. His lens has immortalized notable figures such as Jane Goodall and renowned personalities, including Maharaja of Jodhpur (Umaid Bhawan), and Amitabh Bachchan.
A member of the Fashion Design Council of India, Rohit’s journey, marked by creativity, innovation, and mentorship, continues to inspire both students and professionals alike.
