The B. Des. in Fashion Design provides its students with all the skills, technical training and creative opportunities needed for a flourishing career. Offered across our campuses in four cities, Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur and Bangalore, the program aims at giving aspirants a well-rounded education to cater to this highly evolving and trend-driven industry.
The B. Des. in Fashion Design at Pearl Academy is tailored to cover a wide range of Fashion know-how aspects relevant to contemporary industry practices. From focusing on foundation in design, to covering technical aspects of designing outfits, experimenting with materials, and developing collections - the program attempts to take students across a wide gamut of Fashion related practical skills.
-
The program begins with a foundation period, where students are given a thorough grounding in the fundamentals of design, fashion theory and core skill building. These building blocks help students take their learning forward.
-
This is followed by technical skill learning, covering in-demand software's used by many fashion and textile houses. From designing to pattern cutting, embroidery and print placement, they pick up the technical skills needed to execute a design from A to Z.
-
Students' skills are supplemented with knowledge of history, culture and development of Indian fabrics and clothing styles across centuries. This is to ensure they understand India's unique craft traditions and carry it forward to contemporary times.
-
The B. Des. in Fashion Design gives students access to modern, well-equipped labs where they can explore different tech tools like 3D printing, Laser Cutting, Digital Printing, Computerised Embroidery and Knitting Machines, as well as AI and Machine Learning tools, giving them an edge once they start their careers.
-
Once students pick up some skills at different stages of the program, they are encouraged to take up tailored projects that help them showcase their individual creative flair, while mastering their learning so far. These projects culminate in a well-rounded portfolio that testifies to their abilities once they start seeking work opportunities.
